On Friday, 1st November 2013, the staff and students visited Noah’s Ark at Ma Wan. Inside the huge full-size model of Noah’s Ark students were able to take part in a wide range of activities.
We split into groups joined at least 6 different activities through the day. There were many educational exhibits about music, culture, and history. Making Lego-type models in Treasure House was very popular. There was also a 4D theatre with a dramatic film about the biblical flood and Noah’s adventure. In another room, a storyteller showed students the replicas of famous religious items from the bible such as the ‘Ark of the Covenant’.
Students also visited the Solar Tower at Ma Wan and were fascinated by the 3D film about the Sun. There was a large solar telescope where they could see images of the face of the Sun and sunspots.
It was a very enjoyable way to learn more about history and our nature.
