15 NovLibrary X English Manga Week

We are pleased to share a report on the successful completion of “Library X English Manga Week” at our library in October. This event aimed to provide a vibrant and immersive learning experience for manga enthusiasts at school.

Throughout the week, we showcased a wide selection of popular English-translated manga titles across various genres, including action, romance, fantasy, and more. Students had the opportunity to explore these captivating stories and improve their English skills simultaneously.

One of the highlights of the event was the screening of selected episodes from the animated series “Spy x Family” during lunchtime for Secondary 1-2 students. This allowed them to not only enjoy the engaging storyline but also practice their English comprehension skills.

Additionally, as part of the program, we conducted a workshop where 20 students had the chance to learn and create their own comic pieces using various apps. This hands-on activity enabled them to apply their knowledge of both manga and the English language, resulting in some impressive and creative comic creations.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the journey where manga and English language proficiency intertwined. The event provided them with a unique platform to engage with their favoruite manga while enhancing their language skills.
